Summary

This role supports the company’s finance team with all aspects of accounting and audits. The apprentice will assist with management accounts preparation, sales ledger and purchase ledger control. The role will also involve working with different members of staff across the business and providing MI to various stakeholders.

What you'll do at work

Sales ledger control - Cash posting and reconciliations Purchase ledger control - Cash posting and payment processing and ledger reconciliation Bank account - Reconciliation and postings MI - Various monthly reporting to internal and external stakeholders Management accounts preparation Preparation of journals Involvement with year-end audit on various areas

Training

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

What you'll learn

Training schedule

Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2.

The successful candidate will commence their employment with Carlac in Spring, with a view to starting college 1 day per week in September 2026. The apprentice will attend a weekly online/remote learning session per week as part of their training.

GCSE in:

English (grade 4)Maths (grade 4)

After this apprenticeship

A full-time permanent contract is highly likely upon completion of the apprenticeship, as well as the option to progress onto the Level 3 apprenticeship.
