Field based engineering role to support the servicing, maintenance & repair of gas CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems. The role requires working on different customer sites. Flexibility required to start earlier & finish later due at times to the nature of the job and to meet customer outcomes and expectations, under our contractual obligations

To support the servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas CHP (Combined Heat and Power) systems while undertaking a structured apprenticeship program Assist in the planned and reactive maintenance of gas CHP units across customer sites Shadow experienced engineers to learn diagnostic and fault-finding techniques. Support the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of CHP systems Record service data accurately using company reporting tools and software Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good condition (if applicable) Attend all required training courses (on-the-job and classroom-based) Build a working knowledge of CHP system components including engines, generators, controls, and gas systems Develop customer-facing professionalism while working on live sites Always adhere to health and safety protocols

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Apprentices will be required to attend training at least x1 day per week to complete necessary mandatory training and units associated with the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will be required to complete:
Work towards gaining a full Qualification Employment Rights and Responsibilities Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours Standard and End Point Assessment Functional Skills in English, maths, and ICT (if required)
Other training will be provided by the employer as required to enable the fulfilment of the job role. Product specific training provided as part of our internal CPD by uk providers and our training facility in Germany.
GCSE or equivalent in:
Maths and English (grade 4-9)

The apprentice will gain the technical skills, safety awareness, and experience required to progress toward becoming a qualified CHP Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer
