The role
Start your communications career with us and help support our purpose of ensuring that people and nature thrive together in Wales.
This is a placement opportunity for individuals who have recently (within 18 months) gained a graduate qualification in a relevant discipline, such as communications, public relations, journalism, digital communications or marketing.
You will help us tell our story and work towards achieving our well-being goals so that by 2030 nature is recovering, communities are more resilient to climate change, and pollution is minimised.
You will contribute by delivering clear and effective communications to colleagues, stakeholders, journalists, and the public. The role includes corporate communications, media relations, campaign planning, and creating social media content.
You will support both proactive and reactive work, assisting with enquiries as a first point of contact.
You will be able to work flexibly-whether from home, in one of our offices, or on location. You will be contracted to the nearest NRW office to your home and a suitable hybrid working pattern will be agreed on appointment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to learn, grow, and contribute to meaningful work that benefits both people and the natural environment. The role will be offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months

You'll be part of a friendly and supportive Communications Team that works collaboratively across the organisation.
You'll report to the Corporate Communications Team Leader and will be mentored by experienced communication professionals who will help you develop your skills, confidence and professional portfolio.
