About this role

We're looking for a Construction Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Aylesford, Kent, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Construction Support Technician.

Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people.  We provide transport solutions that are sustainable, long-lasting and that promote various methods of transport https://www.kier.co.uk/who-we-are/our-business-divisions/   

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

Location: Aylesford, Kent

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £20,800

Start Date: September 2026

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Construction Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Construction Support Technician, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Delivery team to support various contractors and suppliers.

Your day to day will include:

-Support the safe, efficient and compliant management of highways schemes.

-Work alongside other operational team to coordinate works and track programmes

-Ensure all works produced are compliant with health and safety to protect the work force

-Actively engage in developing new skills to support your growth

What are we looking for?

The role of Construction Apprentice is great for you if you:

-Have GCSE grade 4 or above in Maths and English

-Are willing to learn

-Self-motivated, punctual and organised

-Able to communicate clearly, both verbal and written
