Qualifications

Essential:

  • A National Qualification Framework NQF achievement to level 3 or above e.g.City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent

Desirable:

  • A qualification in Building services would be an advantage
  • Legionella /water systems Asbestos awareness

Experience

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in building services maintenance with a demonstrable track record of competence

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a large acute hospital
  • Risk Assessments completion
  • Manual Handling

Knowledge

Desirable:

  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Knowledge and appreciation of Building Maintenance Issues
  • Knowledge of NHS and working in clinical Areas
  • Knowledge of Estates maintenance

Skills

Desirable:

  • Planning skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to plan own work load be flexible and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to develop and work effectively in a team
  • Self-Motivator
  • Ability to work under pressure

Other

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations
