About this role

In this role, you'll be trusted to keep our kitchen running safely and smoothly, ensuring patients receive nutritious meals in a clean and welcoming environment. You'll work closely with cooks and other colleagues to support daily food preparation and maintain high hygiene standards. Your work will help create a safe space for patients and staff, supporting their wellbeing through reliable, well-organised meal services. You'll be part of a friendly team where good communication and teamwork are central to how we work. What you'll do:

Essential:

  • Certificate in Basic food hygiene level 2

Knowledge

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe working practices
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety at work act and requirements

Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen and a health care setting
  • Experience of working in a busy environment

Desirable:

  • Experience of maintaining records
