Barista / General Assistant

Location: Newbury

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday – Thursday (7:30am – 4pm)

Houston & Hawkes are looking for an enthusiastic Barista / General Assistant to join our team at our Newbury corporate site. This is a varied all-rounder role combining excellent coffee service with front-of-house support and occasional kitchen assistance.

Duties:

  • Preparing and serving high-quality coffees and beverages
  • Serving customers and providing a friendly, professional service
  • Supporting the grab-and-go and counter service
  • Assisting with light kitchen tasks and washing up when required
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of service areas

Requirements:

  • Previous barista or café experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and team-focused approach
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
