About this role

Prospero Teaching is looking for confident, proactive Unqualified Teachers to support secondary schools across Salisbury. This role is perfect for individuals who feel comfortable leading a classroom, engaging students, and delivering pre‑prepared lesson content when the class teacher is unavailable.

You will take charge of a class, ensure pupils stay focused on their work, maintain behaviour expectations, and keep lessons running smoothly. It's an ideal opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth‑work professionals, tutors, sports coaches, or anyone who enjoys guiding young people.

You can work full‑time, part‑time, or flexibly day‑to‑day depending on your availability.
- Lead lessons using work set by the absent teacher
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects
- Keep pupils on task and maintain behaviour expectations
- Support students with questions and general classroom tasks
- Work across KS3 & KS4 depending on daily needs
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
- Provide reliable cover both in advance and at short notice
- Experience with young people (coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, classroom support, etc.)
- Confident managing groups and directing learning
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Calm, adaptable, and able to think on your feet
- Positive role model with a proactive approach
- Graduates or aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to apply
- Position: Unqualified Teacher
- Location: Salisbury
- Start Date: ASAP
- Working Pattern: Full‑time, part‑time, or day‑to‑day
- Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
- Year Groups: KS3-KS4
- Experience with young people essential
- Classroom or behaviour‑management experience helpful
- Safeguarding training can be provided
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
- Two suitable references
- Free accredited CPD, including safeguarding & behaviour management
- A dedicated consultant for ongoing support
