About this role

Main Job Duties Deliver advanced clinical practice as part of the multidisciplinary team within the UTC and Emergency Department. Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of primary care and urgent presentations in adults and children. Request and interpret investigations (e.g., imaging, pathology) to support clinical decisions. Prescribe and initiate treatments as a non-medical independent prescriber. Perform advanced clinical procedures and lead resuscitation when required. Discharge patients safely and refer appropriately to other health professionals. Main Responsibilities Provide autonomous, evidence-based care for complex and undifferentiated cases. Screen for early signs of disease and manage risk factors. Carry out invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice. Ensure safe prescribing and medication management. Leadership & Management Act as a role model and provide clinical leadership across the UTC. Contribute to service development, guideline creation, and quality improvement. Support governance and risk management processes. Education Mentor and supervise trainee ACPs and other staff. Deliver training and promote a culture of learning and professional development. Research Engage in audit and research to improve clinical practice. Apply evidence-based strategies and disseminate findings.
